Joseph A. Rossi
(Managing Director) Mr. Rossi brings over 30 years of experience working in the arts to Adventure Theatre MTC. During his first 12 months with ATMTC Mr. Rossi, was instrumental in unifying inter-office procedures, solidifying and helping promote the ATMTC brand, increasing contributed and earned income while decreasing expenses, and participated on the merger committee. Previous to ATMTC, he was the Development Director at Olney Theatre Center where he helped secure several new and renewed major gifts from both corporate and foundation donors, as well as new individual contributors of varying amounts. Before his move to Maryland, Mr. Rossi spent 13 years in New York City, working as both a performer and arts administrator, including 6 years with Manhattan School of Music. While at MSM, he worked on the team that helped with the completion of a $14 million capital campaign and raised money for the annual fund. During transition management at the school he solicited and/or renewed $1.5 million in funds. Mr. Rossi held positions with the NHL Awards 1997, Radio City Music Hall (Super Bowl XXX, Final Four Coaches Salute), Shearman and Sterling law firm (NYC), The Baltimore Opera, Our Time Theatre (NYC), and other community and regional organizations throughout the U.S.
In addition to his work as an arts administrator, Mr. Rossi has an extensive background and training in music and theater, and has performed onstage at venues across the U.S., including on tour with several children’s theatres. Mr. Rossi has a B.A. Degree in Music Industry from SUNY at Oneonta and is a member of Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild.
