Designed for young artists just starting their training and those looking for specific training that fits into their busy schedule, secondary classes are open to everyone, regardless of prior experience or training. These classes meet one-hour each week.
Spring semester is 12 weeks and begins the week of February 6 – May 2, 2023 (No class April 4-8, 2023).
Beginners welcome! Geared towards young artists who are just starting their acting journey, this class will challenge participants to utilize their physical and vocal instruments in tandem with their imaginations as they explore improvisation, active listening and response, character, objectives, tactics, and more foundational skill sets.
Appropriate for intermediate actors who have some foundational skills under their belt (improvisation, objectives, tactics), this class will focus on two important skill sets: scene/text analysis and partnered scene work. Participants will dive into guided text analysis and rehearsal under the coaching of a professional actor to deepen the actor’s relationship to given circumstances and their scene partner. The class culminates with a final showcase performance of the scenes they will be workshopping during the semester.
