7th Annual Kids Open Call Auditions

Who:

Students, Grades 4–12

Date/Time:

Sunday, February 17, 2019, 10:00am-6:30pm

Bring:

Headshots or a good photo. Please also provide a summary of experience or resume (Insider Tip! Print or attach experience on the back of photo). Final count for both of these items will be emailed no later than February 11, 2019 to all registrants.

Prepare:

Prepare 16 bars or a short section of a song. Musical Theater songs are preferable. Prepare a one-minute monologue or a speech. If you can, please bring sheet music in the appropriate key and with clearly marked cuts. An accompanist will be provided on the day of auditions. Student that do not have access to sheet music may sing without piano accompaniment.

Please note there is an $20.00 one-time administrative fee to sign up for an audition slot.

Be seen by professional casting directors from the Washington, DC area theatres at Adventure Theatre MTC’s 7th Annual Kids Open Call Audition! Kids have been cast at Keegan Theatre, Washington National Opera, Studio Theater, Arena Stage, Ford’s Theater, Olney Theater Center, NextStop Theatre, and several film and TV projects in the last year!

Summer Musical Theatre Training Program Scholarship Auditions

Rising 6–12 grade students

Tuesday May 21, 2019 4:30PM-8:30PM

Adventure Theatre MTC (Wintergreen Plaza)

Bring:

Completed Scholarship Application

Bring a headshot or a recent picture

Please bring appropriate dance attire to allow freedom of movement, as well as ballet or jazz shoes. (Jeans and hard-sole shoes are not permitted.) No bare midriff’s and hair longer than chin length must be pulled back from the face.

Prepare:

Two contrasting songs: a ballad and an uptempo. Select 16-32 bars that best support your vocals. It is acceptable to start in the middle of a song if you so choose. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided on the day of auditions.
