This Father’s Day join Adventure for a series of knee-slapping and eyeroll-inducing jokes from Dad Jokester extraordinaire Tom Schruben and our resident dad bard Leon Seemann. Tom is best known across the whole DMV for coverage in the Washington Post of his dad jokes during COVID. Tune in to see if that joke about chemistry really gets a reaction after all!
ATMTC’s resident dad bard, Leon Seemann is lifelong believer in the power of wordplay. That’s why he’s spent so much time working in theatres. Born and raised in the DC region, he is both direct and current with his puns. Now the proud father of 4 kids, he’s considered opening a goat farm. His kids also qualify him for Dad Joke status and measure his happiness in number of eyerolls per minute.
Tom Schruben has, for most of his adult life, been a reliable source of embarrassment for friends and family. He is widely known for inducing eyerolls and occasionally laughter in people as they innocently walk past his house or scroll through social media. People around the world point to Tom as a cautionary tale of what could befall their own husbands and fathers.
Our 2019-2020 season features an amazing team of female directors who are illustrating beautiful works that have never been seen on ATMTC’s stages. We are so excited to bring our perspective and energy to these productions based on familiar and beloved stories. We hope you are too!
