Adventure Theatre & MTC Academy Launches National Search for Next Executive Director

Jeanne Ellinport stepped in as Interim Executive Director in March 2022 at a time of significant transition for Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC). As a long-standing and crucial member of the Board of ATMTC, and with a strong professional background in non-profit strategy and organizational turnaround work, Ellinport received unanimous Board support to help prepare ATMTC for the next chapter in its storied 70-year history. 

During these past six months, Ellinport worked with the Board and Staff to oversee the recruitment and hiring of Artistic Director LeeAnét Nobel following a nationwide search, and developed critical organizational scaffolding to set ATMTC up for success. These organizational efforts include launching a strategic planning process that will help guide ATMTC’s efforts in the years to come, professionalizing ATMTC’s human resources functions, increasing salaries across all departments, leading a robust process to keep ATMTC’s partners and funders engaged in the future of the organization, helming an effort to give ATMTC’s facilities a needed clean-up and refresh, and working to keep ATMTC’s grant pipeline strong. Recently, ATMTC received the second highest score on a major governmental funding application out of nearly one hundred applicants.  

With the leadership of Artistic Director Noble, ATMTC is now poised to launch into a transformational new season, continuing the critical mission of providing exceptional theatrical performances and training to area youth and their families.   

As a result, ATMTC will begin the process today of hiring a search firm to conduct a nationwide search for a new Executive Director and Ellinport will step down in November.
