Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) Academy’s instructors are some of the Washington, DC area’s most intuitive and experienced faculty for musical theatre instruction.
Kelly teaches pre-conservatory and voice lessons. Kelly Scott (previously Kelly Pleva) is a graduate of the Steinhardt School of Music at New York University holding a Masters of Music in Classical Vocal Performance. While living in New York, Kelly made her debut at Carnegie Hall while performing with the New York Lyric Opera singing the role of Juliette in Gounod's Romeo et Juliette. Kelly also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Wilkes University and is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher of Voice through the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

Since his youth, Tony Thomas has toured, performed, and worked as a professional artist, scoping a range of television, film, stage, and concert dance. His international travels and residencies through Italy, Australia, London, Japan, and the U.S. have exposed him to intriguing cultural practices and art forms. Enforcing focus, fluidity, and precision, Tony is a two-time Helen Hayes nominee for Outstanding Choreography. From the start of his career and up till now, Tony has worked and developed his craft under Debbie Allen, Broadway’s David Saint and Joey McKneely, Steven Nachamie, Tony Powell, Christopher Huggins, Shawn Cosby, and Mike Malone.

Madison is very excited to be joining the Adventure team. She is a recent graduate of American University, where she double majored in Musical Theatre and K-12 Performing Arts Education. Madison is passionate about creating educational programming for students and gained experience through working with the Theatre for Young Audiences Team at The Kennedy Center, The Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Sidwell Friends Middle School, Horace Mann Elementary School, and Imagination Stage.

Tioni has been directing and teaching for more than 20 years. She has taught acting and improvisation techniques to people of all ages in many different environments—ranging from elementary schools to business professionals, college students and professional stages. Tioni recently directed the Theatre Bay Area nominated production of American Jornalero for Ubuntu Theatre Project. Tioni has performed professionally in the U.S. and abroad, and holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from The Theatre School at DePaul University.

Omar Cruz was raised in Puerto Rico, where he began his artistic training and experience in devising ensemble work. He obtained his B.A. in Theatre with a minor in Psychology from Universidad de Sagrado Corazon. In 2017, Omar enrolled in Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University, where he obtained his M.F.A. in Classical Acting. He is a teaching artist at Shakespeare Theatre Company, Washington Revels, “Tools for Creating Teaching" at the Smithsonian, and Adventure Theatre MTC.

Matthew Dohm can be seen & heard music directing, conducting, accompanying, and playing keyboards for musical productions at Olney Theatre Center, Adventure Theater MTC, The Theatre Lab, and other theater companies/schools throughout the DMV. Matthew has recently served as the accompanist/vocal coach for a musical theater class at the Peabody Institute, coached choral workshops at Signature Theater, and previously directed the Mixed and Treble Jazz Choirs at Long Reach High School. Matthew provides private lessons in voice, piano, violin, and guitar.

Caroline Ferrante is an award-winning composer and performing artist for film, television, radio, and theater. Originally from Chicago’s south side, Ferrante studied
theater and voice at Northwestern University and emerged on the D.C. music scene in 2011, when she opened for Birds of Chicago. Ferrante was chosen for Reverbnation’s National “Top 8 Trending Songwriters Playlist” for December 2018 & January 2019. She is currently collaborating with Austin Bello on another recording project, to be released November 2019.

With more than 40 years in the field of theatre, Roberta Gasbarre is recognized as a leader in all aspects of arts-based learning. Roberta has been with the Smithsonian Associates as the director of Discovery Theater since 1999; deepening the theater’s commitment to educational enrichment. Roberta’s professional theatre career includes direction, choreography and integrated arts education at many Washington, DC-area theaters, including The Shakespeare Theater, Woolly Mammoth, Arena Stage/Living Stage, Washington Jewish Theatre and the Washington Revels.

Joshua Konick is a Music Teacher and Performer in the DC Area. After two years in Vocal Performance at Carnegie Mellon University, Joshua transferred to University of Maryland College Park and received his bachelor's degree in Music Education. He has taught private voice for 3 years, both one-on-one, and with the Musical Artists’ Theatre Summer Program. Joshua has studied with many prominent Voice Teachers including Laura Knoop Very at CMU, Francios Loup at UMD, and Martha Randall at UMD.

Angela Ingram, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, is a life-long dancer and for the past 20 years has taught dance educator is a master instructor. Angela has taught at the U.S. House of Representatives, Office of Naval Intelligence, National Capital YMCA, DC Dance Collective, Flow Yoga Center, George Mason University as well as many middle and highs schools through out the DMW. Angela currently teaches at George Washington University, the Joy of Motion Dance Center and the American Psychological Association.

Pauline Lamb (Properties Designer) is a local props designer and choreographer who is thrilled to be working with such a fabulous team to make some magic happen! Previous props credits include Assassins (Pallas Theatre Collective), Alice in Wonderland (Chesapeake Shakespeare Company), TORNkid (Baltimore Asian Pasifika Arts Collective), and Seussical.

Mary Beth holds a B.M. in Musical Theatre from Catholic University and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and dual licensure in Early Childhood Special Education and Pre-K-3rd Grade General Education from George Mason University. She is currently a student teacher in preschool special education with Alexandria City Public Schools. As an actor, Mary Beth has worked with Constellation Theatre Company, 1st Stage, Keegan Theatre, Quotidian Theatre, American Century Theatre, and Adventure Theatre MTC.

Andres Alejandro Ponce is a Teaching Artist and Professional Actor in the DMV area. He has received training as an actor, singer, and dancer from the School of Theatre and Dance at James Madison University. He received training as a teaching artist at the Smithsonian's Discovery Theatre under Roberta Gasbarre where he practiced "Tools of the Mind" and "Creative Tools for Teaching."

Paige Rammelkamp is a music director, conductor, classically trained pianist, and a proud graduate of American University with a dual degree in Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance. She has been teaching with Adventure Theatre since 2014 and runs a private piano studio. She can often be found as music director for the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre and The Arlington Players, and has also conducted at Toby’s Dinner Theatre, Montgomery College Summer Dinner Theatre, Monumental Theatre Co., Red Branch Theatre Co., and Little Theatre of Alexandria.

Randy Snight is a choreographer, actor, and aerialist living and working in the DC area. Randy has performed in the air, underwater, outdoors with Shakespeare, and within a 40-pound bear suit at the Kennedy Center. He's taught students all over the DMV, most recently at Ashburton Elementary, Washington Lee High School, Adventure Theater, and the Metropolitan School of the Arts. He earned Dance Performance and Theater Performance degrees from Winthrop University in 2009.

Noah Sunday-Lefkowitz is a musical theatre composer, performer, and Walt Disney Imagineer based in Los Angeles. Originally from Scranton PA, Noah has been performing all his life, and has been composing since 2013. Noah graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2018 with a B.A. in Music and Theatre, where he starred as LeFou in "Disney's Beauty and the Beast," Frederic in "Pirates of Penzance," and U/S Buchanan in "Street Scene," as well as co-founded "To Be Determined," a long-form musical improv ensemble. Noah has co-written the music for four original children's musicals as part of PATAsphere.

Katy Tabb is a Washington, DC-based choreographer, director, performer, and teaching artist originally from Seattle, WA. As a teaching artist, Katy teaches musical theatre dance workshops and master classes throughout the U.S., including at Cornish College of the Arts and University of Washington. She is passionate about exploring the art of storytelling through movement and helping each of her students to develop their confidence and unique artistry in class.

Kerby Valladares is a local comedian who's been doing comedy in the DMV for over 10 years. When he's not performing, he's a librarian for Arlington Public Library. He has taught comedy workshops over the years at the library and has students who have gone on to pursue comedy for a living. Kerby loves to help students learn about comedy and teaches the tricks and tips to be successful comedian. Kanysha Williams is a Washington Metropolitan Area native and a dynamic actress and singer. Kanysha has studied at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts as well as at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and at George Mason University. Kanysha has had the honor of performing in some of the country’s most famous venues such as New York City's Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center in Washington DC and, recently, the Washington Metropolitan Area and beyond. Off stage, Kanysha works as a performer and museum educator for the Smithsonian Institute, as well as a private music instructor specializing in vocal and piano training.
