In addition to commemorating ATMTC’s 70th season, this year’s Gala also marks our first in-person social event in more than two years, so it is particularly moving to welcome back our loyal friends and benefactors for a night of music, dance, and performance after so much time apart. The Gala serves as a tangible way to highlight the impact ATMTC makes in the lives of the children and youth across the region. For more than 70 years, ATMTC has educated and inspired new generations of artists and audiences with exceptional theatrical experiences. Through professional productions on ATMTC‘s stage in historic Glen Echo Park, pre-professional training at ATMTC’s Academy in Rockville, and programming in the area’s public schools, ATMTC reaches approximately 45,000 children and families annually. Studies have long demonstrated that providing kids with access to Arts programming not only encourages their appreciation of the Arts, but also helps cultivate their skills in other critical academic areas, and promotes empathy and self-esteem, helping to lay a foundation for success no matter what educational or career paths they pursue.
