Immediate casting need for our summer show The Fisherman and His Wife

Adventure Theatre MTC in Glen Echo Park circa 2009

Adventure Theatre MTC, the DC Area’s longest running Theatre for Young Audiences, is excited to return to producing professional productions after a strategic pause. We have an immediate casting need for our summer show, The Fisherman and His Wife.

Under new leadership Adventure Theatre MTC is recommitting to workplace practices that deeply align with our mission, vision, and core values of Equity, Engagement, Innovation, Growth, and Wonder. We recognize that educating and inspiring future generations begins with our internal practices and furthering our own education and growth with a focus on our most valuable resources, our people.

The Fisherman and His Wife is a warm, whimsical adaptation of the Brothers Grimm story, complete with magic, wonder, and audience interaction. We are working to create a production process that mirrors the harmony and joy our productions offer to audiences. We will be using trauma-informed strategies to create our rehearsal and tech process. This means a mix of flexible time management and providing resources to cast and crews to help facilitate a healthily balanced, joyous working experience.
