Philip W. Chung is a writer/producer and the creative director for YOMYOMF, which was founded by Fast & Furious director Justin Lin to tell stories from Asian American and other underrepresented voices. He was the co-Artistic Director for Lodestone Theatre Ensemble, an acclaimed Asian American theater company co-founded with the Adventure’s Chil Kong. His plays include The Golden Hour and Grace Kim & The Spiders From Mars. Chung has developed projects for YouTube, Machinima, Comcast/NBCUniversal, Ovation TV, Legendary Pictures, ABC, eOne, IFC Channel, and others. He co-wrote/produced the Justin Lin-produced Chinese feature Hollywood Adventures which opened at #1 in China opposite Jurassic World and produced Google’s first 360 degree project Help, also directed by Justin Lin with over 15 million views on YouTube.
Current writing and/or producing projects include the Asian food series Family Style (available on HBO Max), Moonshadow (a LGBTQ-centric horror feature for Gunpowder & Sky), and projects for Disney Channel, Netflix, Buzzfeed Studios, New Form, Singapore-based MM2, and others. Poop! is his first musical as a writer.
