Student productions are intensive performance and training opportunities for motivated and talented musical theater students. Student Productions of the ATMTC Academy complement the Common Core State Standards in English-language arts and mathematics for grades K-12, providing a challenging outlet for students to develop the skills necessary to be successful, professional performers – including self-discipline, teamwork, problem solving, and self-confidence.
This January, have the experience of a lifetime with ATMTC Academy! Develop your theatre skills while working toward a performance of a reading of an unproduced TV pilot, Morning Announcements, by Scott Taylor and Wesley Jermaine Johnson (writers for Nickelodeon and producers for Disney). Class includes 30 hours of online instruction with actor Lawrence Street (Mean Girls national tour) and a live Q&A with TV screenwriter Wesley Jermaine Johnson. The experience culminates in two live readings on Zoom for family and friends.

Members of William Nye High School’s Morning News production club struggle with Principal Taylor to retain their daily announcement show while tracking down the school prankster and finding a new cohost—amid familiar issues of time crunches and friendships.
