Tracie Thoms Honors her Father at 2020 Virtual Gala

Tracie Nicole Thoms, American television, film, and stage actress and singer, will be joining Adventure Theatre MTC to honor her father, Donald Thoms. Thoms will receive the Spirit of Adventure award at ATMTC’s Virtual Spring Gala: Step Out In Style, date TBD.

A graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts, Howard University, and Juilliard, Tracie made her Broadway debut in Drowning Crow opposite Alfre Woodard. Then she went on to appear on Broadway in Stick Fly and as Joanne Jefferson in Rent, which she had first played in the musical’s screen adaptation.

On screen, her notable film credits include The Devil Wears Prada and Grindhouse. She has had many notable TV roles also including Netflix’s Love, Fox TV’s Wonderfalls, Harry’s Law and Cold Case.

Most recently, she played Desiree Scoville on 13 episodes of Truth Be Told, Karen Wilson on 21 episodes of 9-1-1, Dean Calhoun on an episode of Mad About You, and Roberta Gibbs on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
