Q-Fest

Playwriting Festival

Adventure Theatre MTC, in partnership with District Dramatists Theatre Company, invites DMV writers to take part in a flash creation of new work for a series of online readings. Professional actors from the DC Area will read these works live with the plays that receive the most likes during their live stream will receive cash rewards.

Adventure Theatre MTC, Convergence Theatre, and 4615 Theatre Company invite playwrights, devisers, and theatre makers to Q-Fest 2.0. As theatre artists continue to seek new ways to share their work, Q-Fest 2.0 is committed to defining this space for BIPOC artists from the DMV, who have worked in the DMV, or feel connected to the DMV.

Adventure Theatre MTC channels snowflakes and cocoa into a marathon of play reading full of snowflakes, frost, and fantasyfor family audiences. Directed by the talented Chil Kong, Nicole Marie Maneffa, Laley Lippard, and Nicole A. Watson, Jingle in July features over 30 local playwrights, from the Washington, DC area!  

Q-Fest 3.0

Playwriting Festival

Q-Fest 3.0 showcases 10-minute plays from 20 writers around the DC/metro area themed around identity. This iteration of the festival centers on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and LGBTQ+ artists, asking them to create stories based on their identities.

Adventure Theatre MTC, ArtsCentric, and 4615 Theatre Company has invited collaborators from previous festivals to celebrate the anniversary of the first QFest. QFest 4.0 will showcase 10-minute plays from writers around the DC metro area, exploring this festival’s theme: “Into the Unknown”.
