Elementary classes at ATMTC are designed to give children in grades K-5 a well-rounded introduction to the wonderful world of Musical Theatre.
Through acting, song, and dance our students gain valuable 21st Century Skills that will carry them through many areas of their lives as they practice Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Creativity, and Communication in a fun and upbeat setting!

The Spring Semester runs the week of February 16 through May 16, 2026. Sharing week is May 12 – May 16, 2026.
*No classes from March 30 through April 6, 2026, due to Spring Break.

Students will learn a song and dance number from a popular age-appropriate musical guided by one of our gifted Teaching Artists. Students will also learn the basics of stage performance, vocal music, and will learn simple movement combinations that include beginning dance technique. This class is perfect for the child interested in exploring the foundations of creative expression.
Sing, Dance, Act’s songs, scenes, and study materials refresh each semester. We encourage you to take it more than one semester to reinforce the 21st Century Skills gained in this class.
Come create your own play! Students will choose from 2 different storybooks to read together in class, then decide on which one they would like to present as a play at the end of the semester. During the class, they will work on basic theatre terminology, movement, and creating characters. An experienced early elementary education Teaching Artist will help the students transform the book into a show complete with costumes, props, and set pieces!
Students will learn song and dance numbers, as well as short scenes from popular age-appropriate musicals guided by one of our gifted elementary Teaching Artists. Broadway prep students will focus on adding emotion into their songs, scenes, and characters as they work on putting together a fun performance. Students will also learn basic music and dance terminology, and will continue working on building their foundational skills in acting, singing, and dance. No prior experience required!

If your child came to Summer Musical Theatre Camp and enjoyed themselves, this may just be the class for you! Students in Mini-Play will work with a Teaching Artist to put together a show over the course of the 12 week semester. In addition to being cast in a role and learning about blocking, creating characters, and working as an ensemble, Mini-Play students will get to explore some of the technical and design components of the theatre such as props, costumes, and sets. No prior experience required!

You know, not everyone likes onions. Join ATMTC Academy for Shrek, The Musical, Jr. Your child will work alongside accomplished teaching artists to put on a full scale 60 to 70 minutes musical.
Bridge to Broadway students will work to extend their range and character development through dance, voice, and acting. Students will also learn how to prepare for an audition, work on script reading and improv skills, sharpen their dance skills, and learn the importance of working as an ensemble. No prior experience required!

This class will help the student achieve strengthening of alignment, core work, endurance, and range of motion in the musical theatre jazz style. The class always begins with a warm-up consisting of stretch and balance work. The students will explore different dance styles from some of Broadway’s greatest shows through the years, from Oklahoma to Hamilton! The class will culminate with a sharing day for parents at the end of the semester.
