A young author in Prince George’s County is using his voice to help other kids stand up to bullies. When Colbie meets his new best friend Zach, the two encounter an unexpected find on their way home from school that changes everything.
Colbie McAllister is like any other 11-year-old, he loves his family, video games and like most kids, he’s also been bullied. It all started in second grade, that is when the bullying took a toll on McAllister’s family and himself. His parents said Colbie is shy, but under pressure, they urged him to stand up for himself. Colbie took his love of reading and writing and put his experience with bullying on paper. He wrote 66 pages about a boy that is bullied but finds a magic crystal that gives him superpowers to face his bullies. Colbie’s message to other children who are being bullied is to stand up for yourself and be brave. Now published and for order on Amazon, Colbie is turning the page on his bullies hoping his writing inspires others to be brave..
